Nure-onna is a mythical creature from Japanese folklore. It is depicted as a creature with the head of a woman and the body of a large snake.

Nure-onna is often portrayed as a malevolent creature that preys on humans, particularly near bodies of water. Legends describe her luring unsuspecting victims, primarily children or fishermen, by appearing as a distressed woman or a mother in need of assistance. Once close, she reveals her true form and attacks, using her serpentine body to constrict and devour her victims.
